sock hop vI 2020

Sadly, Sock Hop VI had to be rescheduled then postponed until 2021 due to the Quarantine and KCS closings. We will miss the event greatly as it is usually a very crucial part of our fund-raising and community involvement model. ‘The Cool Tones” Doo-Wop Group were going to perform and Smokin’ Bill Rutherford was returning to host the event. We lined up the return of the Mellow Mushroom for food and had some great new items for raffle and the silent auction.

Sock Hop V 2019

Sock Hop VI was held on April 17th from 6-9pm in the Library, Hall and Museum this year. It was a community based event. DJ “Smokin Bill” hosted the Gathering. The raffle for some local music went off well, the silent auction did alright, not as well as we had hoped though and food was a hit. Thanks to Mellow Mushroom for the excellent pizza and salad. The Museum saw a lot of visitors and overall the event was a success.
